Events have started to pick up and this week was filled with a lot of events. On Tuesday I gave two tours to two different candidates who were applying fro a position at our admissions office. It was fun to talk with them and get to hear their different perspectives. On Wednesday I worked the 50th anniversary alumni panel. That event was really neat because I was able to listen to Alumni students about how they got through college and the advice that they would give to current students.

Thursday was a busy day because I had a classroom visit with Nick and mackenzie in the morning and then later that day we all worked open house! I always love classroom visits because you are able to talk excitedly about student life and try to feed that energy into the students encouraging them to get involved.

The last event of the week that I worked was the King Me event. This was really cool because everyone took pictures wearing either a crown or tiara. I think a lot of the students felt encouraged and empowered by the pictures.

This week I also found out that I was nominated for the UCBA honor student of the year award by the communications and English department. It came as a total surprise and even if I don't get it I am still encouraged by the fact that I was nominated.
