This past week was a whirlwind of busyness. I felt like I was running from one thing to the next trying to keep up. I had exams in classes, events almost everyday and a lot of responsibilities and activities outside of school as well. However, despite the chaos of the week I still really enjoyed the fun moments that I had.
On Tuesday Mackenzie and I had a meeting with the technology committee, where one of the topics discussed was technology in the classroom and how it can benefit students. It was great being able to put in my two cents and be the voice for students on an issue that will effect our learning. Being a part of that meeting also gives me a new perspective and respect for the faculty and staff on campus and their efforts in making our college the best that it can be.
I also was able to work President Pintos Strategic Planning session. I loved hearing about his vision for the college. It is always helpful as a student to be able to hear what the people in charge believe and value. I appreciated being able to listen to him speak.
In regards to classes I had two exams, one in Group Problem Solving and the other in Calculus. In English we are reading Maus which is a very sad but interesting graphic novel about a haulacast survivor. It is the first book we have read so far that I really like. lastly, in Spanish we are practicing stem changing verbs.
It was a busy and somewhat hectic week but I loved all the little moments I had with ambassadors, family, and friends throughout the week that made it enjoyable.
