This week was a crazy week for Ambassadors. We had sixteen events and even more were added at the last minute. The school was alive with activity and everyone was getting involved with the activities that were going on.
I had two classroom visits that I helped out with, one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. I always have fun visiting classrooms and sharing with students my own experience. The first year in college can be intimidating and I hope by sharing our favorite things about being involved on campus it can encourage students to focus on how they can make their college experience enjoyable as well. Also on Tuesday many of the Ambassadors were helping out with UC Tag Day. We had a lot of students involved and a lot of thank you cards were written to our donors.
Homework and classes have been pretty manageable this week. I haven't had too many moments of stress and when stress has come up I was usually able to find a solution before it got too out of hand. We are reading Maus in English which is an interesting book, it is a graphic novel about a Holocaust survivor and his life. In Spanish we are starting our third composition of the semester and we are preparing for our second exam in calculus.
It was a very busy week at school but it was enjoyable as well. The fact that it is fall and I can start wearing scarfs has also made me very happy!
