As usual this week was busy with going to classes, working events, having meetings, and spending time with friends. My team and I had a great meeting about what event we wanted to put on for the school. We had discovered that our original idea may not work so we had to start fresh from the drawing board. However, we were able to come up with an idea that I think will be really fun and encouraging for the students. I love having the opportunity create new ideas and experiences for students.
I also worked the Open House on Wednesday. It was a long event but it turned out to be quite fun. All the ambassadors were their and we were able to all work together. I was in charge of telling students about student life and giving tours to anyone who wanted them. I had a blast talking with students and hearing about what they want to do and why they were thinking about UC Blue Ash.
In my Calculus class we had a quiz that was very difficult, however my professor allowed us to work in groups which was extremely helpful. In English we watched a video about Jewish and African American relationships in the early 1960’s. In my Communications class we interviewed departments at the university for a class project. Lastly, In Spanish we were given our second exam as a take home test.
Event though this week was fun, I am excited for the long weekend that we have. I am ready to get caught up, regain focus, and gets some needed rest.
