It is the fourth week of the semester and it seems crazy that we are already a month into school. I feel like I have already done so much and learned so much both in my classes and in life. I was grateful that this week was much more relaxed than the past few weeks that I have had. I was able to keep up with homework through the week and enjoy time with the people around me.

On Tuesday I met with committee leaders for the Alumni Committee that I am now a part of. It was great meeting with them and gaining a better understanding of what they do and who is involved. They were both very sweet and welcoming, I felt like my opinions and presence was valued. I am excited to meet all the other committee members and have an opportunity to give my opinion on alumni issues discussed at the meetings. I was also invited to the 50th Anniversary Gala which I am excited to go to and experience.

A few days later I was able to be a part of a wonderful event in our English and writing department called “English Conversation Group”. At this event I was able to interact with and get to know some of the international students that attend UC Blue Ash. We played several activities and games that were meant to help them improve their English but that were also really fun for everyone. It was a great event and I loved being able to be a part of it.
